Manage your Language & Region Settings

At any time, an Eko user can change the display language of the app to more properly reflect their home language and region. Currently Eko can display text in English, French, German Japanese, Thai, Spanish, and Chinese, with more planned for the future. It can also be configured to display all timestamps and time information within the user’s chosen timezone.

This article will show you how to do both, on the user’s device of your choice.

Option 1: Change your Language Settings on iOS

On mobile devices, Eko will adjust the display text language depending on the language settings of the device. 

1. Start by navigating to the Settings menu of your mobile device, and tapping to open it.
2. Scroll down to General and tap to open.
3. Scroll down to Language & Region and tap once more.
4. The iPhone Language listing will allow you to set your phone (and the Eko App) to the language of your choice.
5. The Region listing will allow you to set your phone (and the Eko App) to the timezone of your choice.

Option 2: Change your Language Settings on Android

On mobile devices, Eko will adjust the display text language depending on the language settings of the device. 

1. Start by navigating to the Settings menu of your mobile device, and tapping to open it.
2. Scroll down to System and tap to open.
3. To change your language, scroll down to Languages and tap it.
• Tap the Language option.
• Tap Add New Language to select a new language option for your device.
4. To change your timezone, scroll down to Date & Time and tap it.

• Tap the Automatic slider ‘on’ for the device to automatically adjust based on local timezone.
• If this option is turned off, check that the correct Date, Time and Time Zone are selected.

Option 3: Change your Language Settings on Web/Desktop

1. While viewing the Eko web/desktop version, start by clicking on the gear-shaped button on the upper right of the screen to open up your Settings.
2. Click on the Language & Text option.
3. Choose the Change Language dropdown to adjust your display language, or the Date Format dropdown to change how dates are displayed across Eko, in keeping with your country’s preferred format.

You can now change your language settings on Eko!
