Topics in Eko are a feature that lets you create threaded conversations within a group chat, for situations in which you need an area for a more focused conversation within the larger group. You can create or archive them at any time, as necessary for collaboration.
In fact, you can even create topics within a 1-1 chat, for situations where you may want to segment your conversations with someone that you interact with heavily. Here, we’ll show you how to do that.
Create a New Topic in a 1-1
Topics are simple and easy to make, but the process is different depending on your device:
- To create a topic in Eko Mobile, navigate to the chat you wish to create the topic in, and tap the small Stack icon in the upper-right corner to open the topics for the chat. Then click the “+” symbol to name and create your new topic.
- To create a topic in Eko Web/Desktop, navigate to the chat you wish to create the topic in, and click the Topics section at the top of the chat. Then name your new topic, and press the “+” symbol to create it.
You can now create new Topics in 1-1 chats!
Note: If you wish to ‘Archive’ a topic, you can do so at any time on Eko Web/Desktop by clicking on the ‘three dots’ icon in the upper right of the topic view, and selecting ‘Archive’. On Eko Mobile, you can Archive it from the Chat Details area.
