Thanks to Eko being available in multiple languages, Eko can also detect when any message is sent to a user that is in a different language than the user has selected for their profile. When this occurs, a unique button will appear under the message to “Translate” that message into their own language.
In this scenario, all you have to do is tap or click the button, and Eko will do its best to translate that message into the chosen one!
- Any typos, misspellings, or grammar errors may cause issues in translation attempts. Always try to be as proper and clear as you can in any messages you send within Eko.
- Eko also will not translate messages that user themselves sends in a different language, as it is assumed you can speak the language of the messages you send. Hopefully!
- The Eko web/desktop version will translate the message into whatever language you have set as your primary one in the Settings > Language & Text section of the app. For the mobile version, however, it will defer to the universal language settings you have put in place for your mobile device, in the general settings for the device.
