An administrator has the ability to reset the password for a user if they have forgotten it. If the administrator controls the passwords for their users or is replacing a removed user, they can update the password as well. To reset or update the password, follow these steps.
Reset Password
- Open your Admin Panel.
- Click on Users on the left-hand side under the User and Permission Management section.
- Click on the username of the user whose password you would like to reset.
- Click Edit in the top right-hand corner.
- Under Reset Password, click Reset Password.
- Confirm you would like to reset by clicking Reset.
Note: The user must have their email in their profile information to send a reset password link.
You have now successfully reset the user’s password!
Update Password
- Open your Admin Panel.
- Click on Users on the left hand side under the User and Permission Management section.
- Click on the username of the user whose password you would like to update.
- Under Update password, type in the new password.
Note: You can choose to send a notification email to the user. It will not contain the password.
5. Click Update Password.
You have now successfully updated the user’s password!
